Women in Print – The Results of a Study conducted in 2011

July 14, 2014 | Kopytek

In 2011 Dr. Twyla J. Cummings conducted a study to determine how women are positioned in the print industry / graphic communications, which is a refresh from a similar study done in 2000.
In summary she found that an increase of women in managerial positions, women owned businesses and overall industry longevity makes a career for women in print / graphic communications a worth while pursuit.

“One stat from the study revealed that in the 2011 study, 43% of women reported being an owner or in a managerial role compared to 11.4% in 2000.”
